Girls Justice Classes

Educational workshops are offered weekly to detained girls in both Alameda and Contra Costa County juvenile halls.  Classes are designed to provide emotional support for girls, while teaching them to better understand the juvenile justice system.  Students also learn critical thinking skills that enable them to make better decisions that can reduce their risks for victimization and recidivism.  The goal of these classes is to assist detained young women in healing themselves so they can achieve their full potential in life.
